Diocesan Development Services -North Karamoja (DDS-NK), has launched a six months immunisation drive dubbed Echipichip Ikicham project.

Benjamin Adiaka, the Project Coordinator says the Shs184 million Project funded by Gavi under the Equity Accelerator Fund (EAF) will be implemented in the three districts of Moroto, Nakapiripirit, and Kotido.

He notes that the project aims to reduce the number of zero-dose and under-immunized children in Karamoja through community engagement, awareness campaigns, accessibility improvements, and follow-up efforts, particularly among hard-to-reach and marginalized populations.

Daniel Lochoro, the Kotido Deputy Chief Administration Officer believes the project will be a success and long lasting since it’s a church headed project.
