There was happiness and jubilations on Sunday as Fr Samuel Lotuk assumed office as the new parish priest of Christ the king parish, Losilang.
Rev. Fr. Samuel Lotuk who was the administrator of Good shepherd cathedral was installed as a new parish priest of Christ the king parish Losilang , by the bishop of Kotido diocese Rt.Rev. bishop Dominic Eibu Lokut during the mass he presided over at Christ the king parish and he will be deputized by Fr. Charles Adei who was transferred from Kapedo Parish.
He officially reported to his new duty station, accompanied by the assumption choir of the good shepherd cathedral, where he had previously served as an administrator for a period of 8years.
Rt. Rev. bishop Dominic Eibu during Lotuk’s installation mass implored the community of Losilang to welcome the new priests and work together with them without division, further urging the Christians to have life of forgiveness, peace and communion.
Fr. Samuel Lotuk thanked God for having kept him in the cathedral for 8 years, further requesting for prayers from the Christians has he starts new life in his new duty station
Fr. Joseph Lokiding the outgoing parish priest of Losilang urged Christians to work hand in hand with the two new priests for the betterment of the parish.
Lotuk will now replace Fr. Joseph Lokiding who has been transferred to start a new parish in Kokoria.
