The bishop-elect of Kotido catholic diocese Rev. Fr Dominic Eibu has been described by family, friends and area residents as a kind, disciplined, smart, intelligent and a social person.
Born on 30th April 1970 to Victoria Araro and the late Joshua Emaju, Fr. Eibu the last born in the family of ten children spent nearly 17 years of his early childhood in Amotot A village, Kamidakan parish, Kalaki district.
He was later recruited in to the Uganda people’s army-UPA, a rebel group that waged war against president Museveni in Teso as a spy before his sister in law Margret Amuge sneaked him out of the village.
When Etoil A Karamoja radio team visited Bishop Elect’s home village on Friday, a number of people who spoke to our team remembered him as a disciplined, hardworking and intelligent boy.
