The traffic police authorities in Kotido district have commended motorists for their quick   response towards the ongoing   nationwide operations against errant boda-bodas that was launched early this month by government

The operation that requires motorcyclists to wear helmets and reflector jackets was launched in a bid to reduce bodaboda-related road accidents that had become rampant in the country.

ASP Nabala Tifu, OC Traffic in Kotido districts says that the recently launched operation has so far been smooth with a number of motorists complying to it. He adds that most motorists have already acquired crash helmets and reflector jackets as required.

Nabala however says there are a few cases of motorists who are still adamant, but believes that they will soon catch up with the rest. He reveals that they have not registered any serious cases of accidents since the operation was launched.
