Moroto and Karenga Districts will hold their competitions on March 26, 2026, while Nabilatuk and Kotido are scheduled to play on March 28 and 29, 2026, respectively.

Napak and Nakapiripirit have yet to confirm their competition dates ahead of the regional championship.

According to the roadmap, Karamoja zonal championship will be held from April 12-18, 2026, in Moroto Municipality with Moroto High School being the host for Boys’ football while while Moroto Parent School will host the girls’ football matches.

Stephen Ngama- General Secretary USSSA Karamoja Zone

Steven Ngama, General Secretary of the Karamoja Zone Secondary School Games, emphasized the need for districts to conduct the competitions in line with the official rules and regulations, including the circular earlier issued by the USSSA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) regarding the organization of this year’s competitions.

He said that unregistered players and players below the age of 16 are not allowed to compete in the U20 category, warning that such actions undermine the integrity and fairness of school sports competitions.

“Schools found to be in violation of these regulations may face significant sanctions. Furthermore, the district and zonal chairpersons and secretaries, in their individual capacities, will be subject to penalties in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Sports rules and regulations,” said Ngama

He explained that head teachers and sports teachers associations are responsible for supervising and ensuring proper management of competitions at the district level, and therefore must ensure that all activities strictly follow the approved guidelines and regulations.
