The Police in Mt. Moroto Regional Police personnel are investigating a tragic road crush that claimed four lives along the Moroto- Kosiroi Road in Moroto District.
The accident involving a Toyota Hilux Reg. No. KCA 344F, driven by Ben Plimo, a 40-year-old Pokot tribesman from Kitale, West Pokot in Kenya, had a tire burst, causing the vehicle to overturn several times.
According to the Mt. Moroto Regional Police Spokesman, Mike Longole, the accident claimed all the four occupants in the car including the driver.
He has identified the deceased as Philemon Lotudo, 54, Jackson Kariwoi, 46, Elijah Lopuke, 52, and the driver, Ben Plimo, 40 years.
All the deceased persons are Pokot tribesmen from West Pokot County in Kenya.
Longole says that the preliminary findings into the investigations indicate that the driver was over speeding.
He urged all drivers to exercise caution and adhere to speed limits to prevent such tragic incidents.
