The Education Service Commission under the Ministry of Education and Sports, has appointed and deployed a total of 308 teachers and support staff to 11 Seed schools in Teso and Karamoja Sub-regions, built under Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program (UGIF).
Among the schools include Apapai Seed SS (Kalaki district), Asamuk Seed SS (Amuria district) Olio Seed SS (Serere district) and Toroma SS in Katakwi district, in Teso sub-region.
In Karamoja sub-region, the schools include; Alerek Seed SS (Abim district), Iriiri Seed SS (Napak), Kapedo Seed SS (Karenga district) Looro Seed SS (Amudata), Moruita Seed SS (Nakapiripirit district), Nakirolo Seed SS (Moroto district) and Rengen Seed SS in Kotido district.
According to the deployment circular dated July 18, 2025, issued by Mohammed Kaaya, on behalf of the permanent secretary education service commission, each school will receive 13 education officers, nine assistant education officers and six non-teaching staff, among which include; Senior Assistant Accountant, Library Assistant, Enrolled Nurse, Laboratory Assistant and Stenographer Assistant.
The appointees were picked from a pool of thousands candidates who sat for interviews between June 17th-24, 2025.
Kaaya, said that the appointees must pick their nomination letters at Education Service Commission Registry in Farmer’s House, Kampala, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
He added that the appointees must ensure to carry their original Identification Cards while collecting the appointment letters.
The latest recruitment is part of the government’s comprehensive plan to recruit 2,821 teachers and support staff for the newly constructed seed secondary schools across the country.
