Reacting to the frustrating results, Abdullah Ali Obonyo the head coach Karamoja province, who doubles as the head coach of Kumi united football team attributed the defeat to lack of creativity in the midfield.
He noted that the game helped the team to understand their weaknesses before they go for the tough FUFA Drum preliminary qualifiers.
Obonyo explained that they will use the remain days to the along anticipated return leg against Bugisu Province to rectify the outflows in the team.
“We’re disappointed with the results, but we can’t fault the efforts of our players. We will take the positives from this match forward” he said.
Meanwhile, Michael Odongo the head coach of Green Stars Football Team commended the province players for adapting to the current system quickly having spent just only eight days in the camp.
He explains that Karamoja Province played well in the second half despite being shaky in the first half which eventually costed them the game.
Michael emphasised the need for Karamoja Province coaching team to take advantage of the remaining few days to the home game to equip players with defensive and goal scoring tactics, if they are to emerge victorious against the stubborn Bugisu Province.
As per the FUFA Drum fixture, the second leg encounter between Karamoja Province and Bugisu Province is scheduled for Saturday the 22nd of March, 20025.
