The leaders and police in Kidepo region are in grief following the sudden demise of the District Police Commander (DPC) of Kaabong SP Hussein Musiho.
Details surrounding his death remain scanty, but family sources say he died on Sunday, at Nsambya Hospital Kamapala over suspected complications related to ulcers.
Musiho’s passing comes just three days to the January 15 general elections, during which he was overseeing security operations in Kaabong District.
The news of his passing has sent a wave of sadness across Kaabong district and Kidepo region, with many expressing their condolences and paying tribute the fallen uniform officer.
Stephen Odong Latek, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kaabong described Mushon the deceased as a hardworking and committed police officer.
He said that the late Mushon was posted to Kaabong four months ago.
Latek, added that according to the burial program, Mushon will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Butaleja district tomorrow.
