Police in Kotido district have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection to the gruesome murder of Longola Nakuny, a 32-year-old, a resident of Naapong cell in Lokitelaebu Town Council.
Longola, was shot dead on Tuesday at around 9:00 PM in an ambush by a group of suspected Karamojong cattle rustlers just a few meters away from his home.
The deceased was reportedly shot three times, twice in the chest and one in the head.
Since then the police in collaboration with other sister security agencies have been pursuing leads of the attackers, leading to the arrest of one suspect.

Hussein Ssekalema, the DPC Kotido, said that the suspect whose particulars are withheld was arrested yesterday to help the police with the ongoing investigations.
Ssekalema noted that preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was killed on suspicion of collaborating with the security.
