Agape Kotido United FC have discovered their path in the 52nd edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after being handed a tricky trip to face Uganda Premier League top side Bull FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64.
The draw was conducted on Wednesday at the Protea Hotel in Kampala, with former KCCA FC and Express FC midfielder Sheikh Umar Ssenoga officiating the ceremony.
It marked another important milestone in a competition that officially kicked off in November 2025, following preliminary rounds staged across the various FUFA regions.
Tapoh Football Club from Ngora District will compete against Buhimba United Football Club, Obule Earthquake will face Kitara Football Club, and Kumi United Football Club will challenge CATDA Football Club.
Holders Vipers SC will start their title defence on the road against Northern Gateway FC from Lira, a team that features in the Northern Regional League.
It should be noted that Vipers SC defeated KCCA FC 2-0 at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba to win their fourth Uganda Cup.
Last year’s runners up and joint record winners KCCA FC have been pitted against St. George Masindi FC, a Kitara regional league team while SC Villa will travel far East to face Pallisa Hospital FC, a team that plays in the fifth division in Pallisa district.
Speaking at the draw, FUFA 3rd Vice President, Nakiwala Florence Kiyingi, announced that the round of 64 will be played between February 4th and 10th.
He noted that the matches would be played as single-leg ties, and in the event of a draw after regulation time, penalty shootouts would be used to determine the winner.
This year’s tournament has once again underlined its growing stature, attracting a massive 333 teams, an increase from the previous edition, highlighting the continued rise in interest and participation countrywide.
