Police in Napak district are investigating the gruesome murder of a teenage girl whose headless body was found in Napak town.
The torso of a deceased believed to be 17-years-old was recovered on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, dumped along Kopopwa road in Katanga cell, Napak by passersby.
Mike Longole, the Mt. Moroto Regional Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying that the deceased was wearing a purple blouse and blue jean trouser.
He said the preliminary findings of the crime scene indicate that the deceased was killed on Tuesday night by unidentified culprits, who later dumped her body along the road after chopping off her head.
Longole, added that they have instituted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In an effort to identify the victim, Longole is appealing to anyone with a missing relative matching the descriptions of the deceased, including information of any recovered human head, to report to police or go to Moroto regional referral hospital mortuary.
He further appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in their investigations by providing leads to the people responsible for the killing.
