Michael Odong, an independent candidate has been declared the winner of the residual elections for Lotukei Sub county LCIII Chairperson in Abim District.

In the Local Council III chairperson elections held nationwide on February 4, 2026, Odongo and Michael Ekiring, NRM flag bearer tied on 616 votes.

However, in the residual elections held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, Michael Odongo polled 912 votes while Ekiring secured 625 votes.

At Oree ward, Abuk Town Council, Moses Opolot emerged winner for the position of directly elected male councilor, with 90 votes, defeating his only challenger Samuel Ecemu, who garnered 67 votes.

Meanwhile, Samal Juliana Achuka, an NRM flag bearer, emerged victorious against Alice Napote for the position of female councilor for Lomusian Parish, Lobongia Sub-County in Kaabong District.

According to the official declaration form signed by the District Returning Officer Roselily Lokuth Loumo, Achuka got 91 votes.

Of the 177 votes cast, 173 were valid, and 4 were invalid.
