The Police in Kotido are investigating circumstances under which a man, yet to be identified was killed by unknown assailants in Lokitelaebu Town Council on Wednesday night.
The incident that has left residents in shock is among the latest security threats in the Kotido since most of the killings were linked to cattle theft firearms.
The body was found in a pool of blood with several wounds on the head.
Some of the residents who spoke with Etoil A Karamoja say that Thursday’s murder adds to similar incidents that have been reported in the area.
Lokitelebu LC3 Chairman, Moses Adungo confirmed the unfortunate incident with a caution to the community to be vigilant.
One of the criminal intelligence officers attached to Kotido central police station who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to give information to the media said that they have started investigations.
