Loyoro gold mining camp has over 5,000 artisanal miners hailing from different parts of the district.
The miners told the district officials that they are living in squalor, enduring poor housing, a lack of healthcare services, safe and clean water, and pit latrines among other challenges.
Our reporter Simon Lomonyanga Adigil gives us full details of the story.
