Liverpool roared back from a goal behind to thrash Tottenham 5-1 and wrap up the Premier League title in style on a momentous day at Anfield on Sunday.
Needing only a point to ensure a record-equalling 20th English title with four games remaining, Liverpool were rocked in the 12th minute as Dominic Solanke headed Tottenham in front.
But the title party was only temporarily silenced as Liverpool struck back with a Luiz Diaz tap-in, an Alexis Mac Allister thunderbolt and a Condy Gakpo shot before halftime.
A one-sided second half saw Mohaned Salah end a six-match scoring drought by firing a low shot past Guglielmo Vicario in the 63rd minute — celebrating his 28th league goal of an outstanding season by snapping a selfie with a fan.

Tottenham’s Destiney Udogie then bundled in an own goal to complete a miserable afternoon for the visitors who have lost 19 Premier League games this season.
Liverpool, who have now matched Manchester United’s English titles record, have 82 points from 34 games played with Arsenal a distance second on 67 points.
With this championship, Liverpool not only matches Manchester United’s league titles but, when counting their six European Cups, cements themselves as the most successful club in English football history.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk broke off from the celebrations to tell Sky Sports: “It’s special and it’s something that we don’t take for granted. It’s amazing.
“A lot of emotions before the game, during the whole week, but we got the job done and we (are) truly deserved champions of England.
“(Liverpool is) the most beautiful club in the world and I think we deserve all of this. Let’s enjoy the next couple of weeks and let it sink in.”

A Title with Dutch Precision
The arrival of Arne Slot to the Anfield bench came with moderate expectations, but the Dutch manager exceeded all predictions.
In his debut season, he delivered an almost flawless campaign, suffering only two losses across 38 matches.
Unlike other clubs, Liverpool relied on continuity and minimal investment, highlighted by the signing of Federico Chiesa, who contributed in key moments despite limited appearances.
Slot now joins Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Antonio Conte and Manuel Pellegrini as the fifth manager to win the Premier League in his debut season.
He has also become the first Dutchman, and the third Liverpool manager, to win the league in his first full season in charge, emulating Joe Fagan in 1983-84 and Kenny Dalglish in 1985-86.

Jurgen Klopp’s team lifted the trophy to an empty stadium due to Covid restrictions in 2020, having won their first title in 30 years by 18 points.
Although there were celebrations outside the ground both on the night they were confirmed as champions after Manchester City lost at Chelsea when Liverpool were not even playing, and the final game of the season there was no victory parade for fans to show their appreciation.
But, this time thousands of fans were able to celebrate the victory inside Anfield the first time in 35 years while thousands more were thought to have been outside the ground.
