The Vicar General of Kotido Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Daniel Nabuluya has underscored the need for Christians to be vigilant during the Lenten season, warning them against falling into temptations.
The Christian faithful around the World marked the beginning of the Lenten season on Wednesday 5, 2025.
While delivering homily at the Good Shepherd Cathedral during the first Mass on Sunday, Fr. Nabuluya reminded Christians to be on their guard during this 40- day period of lent.
He emphasized that Lent should be a time not only for fasting but also for self-reflection, spiritual growth, and cleansing from sinful acts.
According to Rev. Fr. Nabuluya, Christians should steer clear all forms of evil and not let sin extinguish the light of God in their lives.
The Vicar General, who also doubles as the administrator of Good Shepherd Cathedral highlighted that Jesus expects his followers to bring light to a world filled with darkness.
At Christ Church Cathedral under the Church of Uganda Diocese of North Karamoja, Jane Flavia Aleper, a pupil from Kaabong district challenged Christians to learn to forgive one another.
Aleper, one of the pupils under the education projects in the diocese said that forgiveness is a sign of love that every Christians needs to show during the lent period.
