Rev. Fr. David Ochole today Wednesday celebrated the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priestly ministry. The thanks giving celebration that was held at our lady of Lourdes parish Abim and graced by the bishop of Kotido Catholic diocese the Rt. Rev. Dominic Eibu Lokut as a co-celebrant attracted hundreds of people.

Born in 1965 in Morulem Abim district to the late Mateo Ochan Lorim and the late Atat Auma Nikolina-Fr Ochole was ordained deacon on 25th April 1998 in Rome, and successively priest on 2nd October 1999 in Kanawat catholic parish.
He was subsequently, appointed a teacher and formator in St Mary’s minor seminary Nadiket from 2000 to 2005. He also worked as head of department of foundation of education Moroto core PTC from 2003 to 2005, lecturer and formator at St. Paul’s national major seminary Kinyamasika from 2006 to 2010, head teacher Pope John Paul II Memorial College Kaabong from 2011 to 2013, and teacher and chaplain Jubilee 2000 SS Karenga from 2013 to 2017.
Rev. Fr. Michael Apurio the Iriir catholic parish priest in Napak district Moroto diocese who delivered the homily thanked Fr. Ochole for his 25 years of dedicated service.
Fr. Ochole on his speech thanked God for bringing him this far and urged people of God to always persevere in their respective vocations.
Josephine Awili from Amul chapel said it is the first time she’s witnessing such a celebration in their parish. She urged parents to send their children to seminary.
Jimmy Rockford Opio a relative to Fr Ochole described him as a polite and a dedicated priest who had no grudges with people.
