Uganda Women’s National Football Team Head Coach Sheryl Botes Ulanda has named a squad of 20 players for the upcoming 2025 CECAFA Women’s Championship in Tanzania.
The squad comprise of three goal keepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and three forwards.
The Crested Cranes, who are the defending Champions, will be seeking to reclaim the title they won in 2022 when the tournament was last staged in Uganda.
Botes has named a squad of home-based players with the only exception being Margret Kunihira, who plies her trade with Caesia Queens in Tanzania.
The tournament will take place from 12th to 21st June 2025, at the Azam Complex in Chamazi, featuring Tanzania (hosts), Uganda, Burundi, South Sudan and Kenya with games played on a round robin basis.
The team is expected to converge on Sunday, 8th June 2025 before flying out on Tuesday next week.
