The Bishop Kotido catholic diocese Rt. Rev. Dominic Eibu Lokut on has asked the inmates at Kotido Prison to do self- reflection while in incarceration.
The bishop made the remarks on Sunday while praying with more than 100 inmates at Kotido prison during Easter celebrations.
Bishop Eibu presided over the sacrifice of Mass in which he baptized 2 infants of female inmates into the Catholic faith.
Eibu said that he felt the urge to share part of the Easter festival with the inmates as a sign of love as well as giving them hope of finding a new life despite being in incarceration.
He reminded the inmates of their responsibility of contributing to the growth of the country.
The bishop further them to cast their burdens onto Jesus who will help them navigate through the challenges.
Vira Juliet, the Officer at Kotido Prison facility who hosted bishop praised the bishop for the kindness he extended to the inmates.
