As Etoil A Karamoja joined rest of the Radio Family in the world to mark World Radio Day 2025, on Thursday, listeners of Etoil A Karamoja have commended the broadcaster for its positive contribution to society in terms of peace building, spiritual growth and infotainment.

John Namuya of Acholi Quarters, Calisto Lokwang from Rom- Rom in Kotido narrated how the radio has directly impacted on their lives, activities and growth noting that the radio bridged and built peace in Karamoja through its related programs, news and information.
Francis Tabule of Acholi Quarters Inn Kotido town recalls how the radio has contributed toward promotion of sanitation and hygiene, education and peace in Karamoja. He said the peace we enjoy today was partly contributed by Radio

Etoil A Karamoja FM 92.7 that started broadcasting on July 1, 2015 is a community-oriented radio station serving Karamoja region and beyond. The station plays a significant role in helping to inform the community and empower them to hold duty Voice of Karamoja Meanwhile the history of World Radio Day dates back to 2010 when Spain proposed dedicating a day to celebrate radio’s importance as a powerful communication medium. In 2011, UNESCO officially declared February 13th as World Radio Day, marking the anniversary of the founding of UN Radio in 1946.
