The police in Kotido are investigating the circumstances under which a 73 year- old man identified as John Okwii, collapsed and died instantly at Kotido Roundabout in Kotido Municipality on Tuesday midmorning.
Mzee Okwii, a native of Abim district has been a resident of Acholi Inn Ward in Kotido Municipality. He reportedly left his house in the morning to town and decided to take a rest on the verandah close to the roundabout.
He was instead discovered dead moments later by the salon operators in the house he had taken shelter from.
Joyce Akech, the LCI of Acholi Inn says they were shocked to hear about the demise of Okwii, a person she notes didn’t present any signs of illness in the morning.
By the time of filing the story, the body of deceased was still lying at Kotido General Hospital Mortuary, pending postmortem and the arrival of relatives.
