Kotido-The proposed draft emblem for Kotido district has been tabled before the district council.
The draft emblem was presented before council on Tuesday by the district chairperson Paul Komol Lotee during a full council sitting held at Kotido youth center. Also tabled before council are the draft flag and Anthem.
Last month, the district started the process of changing the current district emblem, which is in black and white with a bull, an ostrich, a shield and two spears.
The draft emblem tabled before council has a honey badger standing on the proposed flag. Underneath there is sorghum and maize to represent the main food crop of the people of Kotido and a swamp.
The proposed flag on the other hand has three colors including blue which represents love, yellow representing the abundant sunshine and red which represents brotherhood with twelve stars spread all over it.
Emmanuel Lodio Lopwot the Kotido district speaker while inviting the district chairperson to table the draft emblem, flag and anthem said it is only Kotido district which is yet to get its own emblem.
