NORTH KARAMOJA: The police recruitment exercise in North Karamoja region has been successfully concluded with a total of 167 applicants participating in the interviews.
Karenga district had 25 candidates shortlisted applicants including nine females turning up for the interviews, Kotido district had 51 candidates including 19 females, Abim district produced 154 including 53 female candidates while Kaabong had 35 applicants with nine females in the list.
According to Nelson Sooma, the Deputy Regional Police Commander, the exercise was peaceful and free from any irregularities.
Sooma says the recruitment process had four separate sets of interviews including Medical examination, physical fitness test, oral and aptitude test aimed at assessing the suitability of the applicants for a career in law enforcement.
However, nine applicants failed to turn up for the interviews including six in Abim, two in Kaabong and one other in Kotido district.
