Kajamaka Black Clan football team, Ngora Town Council Football Club and Awaliwal Football Club have been demoted from the North East regional League for not honoring their fixtures for three consecutive times.

John Odongo, the chairperson North East region said that the Regional committee took the decision to demote these clubs because it was affecting the smooth run of the regional league.

According to Odongo, the team owners could not defend their failures to honor the scheduled fixtures after being contacted by the regional officials.

Odongo has appealed to other clubs which are still participating in the league to obey their schedule regional fixtures or communicate to the regional office in case of any concerns for timely planning.

The demoted clubs will have to wait until next season to compete in 4th division leagues season 2025-2026 which will commence late September 2025.

The North East regional league has a total of 24 football clubs which participating in the season 2024-2025 and they have been divided equally into Bisina and Kyoga groups.
