Moroto district Uhuru league is set to commence next month with nine teams already showing interest in participating in the league.
The football clubs which have already shown interest in participating in the tournament include; Nakapelimen football club, Boda Boda football club, Greenstar football club, Naoi cooperate football club, and Maroons football club.
Others are, Moroto referral football club, Rupa united football club, Veterans football club and Bantu football club.
Nelson Anying the Moroto district sports officer who also double as Chairperson Organising committee of this years’ Uhuru league cup, told our radio reporter that the tournament will kick off on the 25th of May 2024.
He explained that the organizing committee has decided to kick-off the tournament as early as May so that the participating teams get enough play time.
Greenstar football club was crowned champions of last year’s Moroto Uhuru league cup after beating Veteran football club 2:0 in the finals.
