Kotido municipality authorities say they have received 40 tablets and power banks to improve performance, disbursement and monitoring of the Parish Development Model-PDM program

 The development was revealed by the Kotido municipal deputy town clerk, Christopher Lotuk , who confirmed that the 40 gadgets were handed over to 19 SACCO’s leaders and 19 principal town agents accounting for 38 gadgets while the IT officer and the Municipal Planner each were also handed the remaining 2 gadgets.

Lotuk says the tablets are meant to enhance the PDM’s performance through monitoring, data collection, processing of loan application forms, research and documentation of the success stories in the parishes enabling the easy tracking of the PDM implementation and progress in the municipality.

In a related development, Emmanuel Okaja THE Town Clerk Kotido Municipal council also confirmed that the ministry Finance on the 5th of February 2025 released 950 million shillings meant for PDM to the 19 SACCO groups in Kotido Municipal Council.

Okaja also revealed that Kotido municipality has disbursed to 100% the PDM funds in the financial year 2024/2025 and they would now embark on identifying with immediate effect the new beneficiaries for the recent release.
