Karamoja blood collection center has collected 450 milliliters of blood in a blood donation drive conducted at Kotido senior secondary school.
The one day drive held on Monday this week at the school premises saw at least 38 donors both teachers and students coming forth to give blood.
Karamoja region has been grappling with blood shortage to treat people who need blood especially anemic children
Jimmy Owilli, the deputy head teacher Kotido SS thanked the Karamoja blood collection center team for the initiative. He also thanked the school administrators for being exemplary by donating blood first.
